Steffen Reinwarth runs an online store in which he mainly sells wine, but also other alcoholic beverages. Originally, the store ran on the store software modified eCommerce. However, as the system was no longer supported, there was a need for a new e-commerce platform. This is how he became aware of Shopify and of us as a Shopify partner agency.

The challenge
The creation of a new webshop for Steffen Reinwarth presented several challenges. On the one hand, the selected Shopify theme had to be extensively revised as it did not contain some of the required functionalities. On the other hand, specific legal requirements for the sale of alcohol on the Internet had to be taken into account, which required additional information such as the price per liter. These legal requirements were implemented in cooperation with our partner eRecht24.
Solution
To overcome these challenges, Shopify was used as the basis for the new web store. The selected theme was customized according to Steffen Reinwarth’s needs in order to integrate additional functions such as a rating function, a blog function and a wish list function. Particular attention was paid to compliance with the legal requirements that apply to the sale of alcohol on the Internet. This was ensured through cooperation with eRecht24.
Effect
The successful implementation of the project resulted in a modern and functional webshop that significantly improved Steffen Reinwarth’s online presence. The added functionalities such as rating, blog and wish list functions increased user-friendliness and customer engagement. Compliance with legal requirements ensured the store’s legal security. Overall, the new web store helped to strengthen Steffen Reinwarth’s business and expand its market presence.
